Trenton City Council Approves Disposition of 7 Buildings plus Lots to HHG 2nd Phase Development Planned for 2010 November 6, 2008 - The Trenton City Council today approved an ordinance authorizing the City of Trenton to sell 7 buildings plus a number of building lots to HHG Development Phase 1, LLC. HHG plans to develop "Trenton Ferry II" which will include 9 new single family homes and 3 condominium units in the same area as the company's existing "Trenton Ferry" development. Completion is targeted for 2010. Trenton Ferry, which includes 26 condo units and 4 single family homes developed by HHG, is rapidly nearing completion. This first round of investment was intended to trigger revitalization of the neighborhood, not only by HHG, but by independent investors. This appears to be having an impact, as multiple improvements are being made in the neighborhood to both the owner-occupied and rental stock. (See slide show). "We're thrilled that the City of Trenton has agreed to support us in this way," said HHG partner, Michael Goldstein,"so we can continue improving the neighborhood. The Trenton real estate market has proven surprisingly robust because it enables us to deliver gorgeous housing at an affordable price in a friendly, diverse, and vibrant community." About HHG - HHG is a real estate development company owned by three Trenton residents: John Hatch, David Henderson, and Michael Goldstein. It specializes in historic restoration and in-fill development for residential and mixed use applicaitons. The company is currently completing two loft/condo projects in the area: "Everett Corner", an 8 unit project, and "The Cracker Factory", an 18 unit project.
